Vitals observation name options

For Vital Signs, in addition to adding an Observations tile to the Clinical Summary view, the settings must be configured so that the mobile app knows which observation is mapped to a particular tile in the summary of the vital signs.

Use the information in the table to edit the values for each item.

Note: For each of these observation settings, multiple observations can be mapped to a vital signs tile by separating the observation names with a comma. Each observation setting can be used only once, however.

Setting Description

Temp

The name of the observations mapped to the Temperature tile in the vital signs summary view.

Height The settings that are displayed for Height and Height 2 determine how patient height is displayed in the mobile app. The name of the observations for Height is mapped to the first (or only) value in the Height tile.
Note: If you want only a single observation value displayed in the mobile app, make sure that the observation name is displayed in Height, and that nothing is displayed for Height 2.

You can have values for two observations mapped to the same the Height tile. To configure patient height to be displayed as a dual unit of measurement, you must set the larger unit of measurement in Height and the lesser unit of measurement in Height 2.

For example, to display patient height in feet and inches, make sure that the name of the first observation (height in feet) is displayed for Height and the second observation (inches additional to height in feet) is displayed in Height 2. If you reverse these values, height will be displayed incorrectly in the app, with the number of inches followed by the number of feet.

Height 2 The settings that are displayed for Height and Height 2 determine how patient height is displayed in the mobile app. The name of the observations mapped to the second value, if applicable, in the Height tile in the vital signs summary view.
Note: If you want only a single observation value displayed in the mobile app, make sure that the observation name is displayed for Height, and that nothing is displayed for Height 2.

Weight

The name of the observations mapped to the Weight tile in the vital signs summary view.

BP Sys

The name of the observations mapped to the Blood Pressure tile (systolic component) in the vital signs summary view.

BP Dias

The name of the observations mapped to the Blood Pressure tile (diastolic component) in the vital signs summary view.

Heart Rate

The name of the observations mapped to the Heart Rate tile in the vital signs summary view.

Resp Rate

The name of the observations mapped to the Respiratory Rate tile in the vital signs summary view.

O2 Sat

The name of the observations mapped to the Oxygen Saturation tile in the vital signs summary view.

Pain

The name of the observations mapped to the pain tile in the vital signs summary view.

BMI The name of the observations mapped to the Body Mass Index (BMI) tile in the vital signs summary view.
BSA The name of the observations mapped to the Body Surface Area (BSA) tile in the vital signs summary view.

Maximum Observations to Return

Defines the maximum number of observations that return for each of the cell names defined for vital signs. For example if set this value to 50, you will get 50 temps, 50 Heart Rates, 50 Resp rates, and so on.
